(b) On June 22, 2008, Sir Eric A. Ash (80) notified the Board of Directors of Ocean Power
Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) that he does not intend to stand for re-election as a director
at the Company’s next annual meeting of shareholders, which is expected to be held in October 2008.
